Yak, Yeti and Roll is an Arctic-themed video slot which offers players a 5×3 playing field with 20 fixed paylines. That means gamblers cannot turn some paylines on and off in order to lower their minimum bet. Pays are granted for collecting three or more identical symbols, left to right, following one of 20 active paylines. The game has several special features, including cascading reels, multipliers, free spins, and the bonus trail.
How to play Yak, Yeti and Roll
Once again, the Betsoft title impresses visually, but lags behind in animation quality. The background image is gorgeous, showing off some really detailed snow, although the sky could use a bit more work so it does not look quite so blurry. We understand it is not the focus, but there is really no excuse to be so obvious. But while the visuals are good in some parts, they fail in others. The man and yeti look well enough when they are moving, but stand perfectly still when they are not moving forward, making them feel more like fake, plastic dolls than actual humans, and ruining the effort the developers have gone through to make it work.
Symbols include playing card royals 10, J, Q, K and A, as well as a pair of gloves, the carriage the yeti is pulling, an igloo, a rain-deer and a stupid looking wolf. The yeti is Wild, and only appears on the second, third and fourth reel. It can replace all symbols except for Scatter. The old man is Scatter and pays from any position.
The slot has medium volatility, which has lots of small, frequent pays, with an occasional large jackpot to spice things up from time to time. Cascading reels are the biggest game-changers, as they allow for multiple wins to be received from one spin. The bonus trail activates both free spins and multipliers, and is, in turn, triggered by consecutive wins through the cascading reels system.
