Pretty Kitty Mobile Slot Review
At first glance, it is very easy to dismiss this game. After all, this is a slot about cats, what kind of a theme is that? But even if you are not a cat enthusiast, Microgaming’s newest release still has quite a bit going for it. Released on both Android and iOS devices in June 2016, Pretty Kitty is a fun game wrapped in a rather odd, but unique theme.
While nobody will be singing praises about the gorgeous graphics here, it is a nicely designed and enjoyable slot, with a royal purple background, and many jewels and cats present on the expansive 5 reel setup, with Wilds and Scatters occasionally coming in to spice things up.
Microgaming decided to go for something different, and so their feline filled release has no set paylines. Instead, you get wins by placing three or more adjacent symbols on the reel from left to right, which calculates to 243 ways to win. The exception to this are Scatters, which only need two of the same icon to gain a prize.
How to play Pretty Kitty
Unfortunately, Pretty Kitty’s interface finds itself lacking compared to the desktop version of the game. The desktop version uses the space beneath the screen to feature most relevant information. In the mobile version, the coin value is left in the settings menu, forced to be adjusted separately from the wager, and the Autoplay feature is conspicuously missing from the mobile version of the slot.
How much you bet per reel spin is determined by the coin value and bet level. Set both to a minimum value, and you can play Pretty Kitty for $0.30 per reel spin, and if you set both to maximum, your wager will be $75. This makes Microgaming’s newest release accessible to both casual players and more profit minded ones willing to bet more for large wins.
In the settings menu, you can switch the game to show your balance in coins or credits, to turn music on or off, or to activate the Quick Spin feature. There seems to be a slight delay with the Quick Spin, and it sadly is not quite the same as having an Autoplay option like in the desktop version.
The many cats in this slot are high paying symbols, and have a special feature attached to them. They can appear stacked on the first reel, and if you have a full stack of one type of cat, it can make same cat icons stacked as well.
Pretty Kitty also has Wilds and Scatters. Wilds appear as the game’s logo, and have the ability to replace any symbols except Scatters. Scatters can pay in any position, and in fact, are the highest paying symbol. In addition, three or more Scatters will trigger the Free Spins bonus.
Jackpots and Progressives
The game boasts that you can win up to 140,000 coins, and it is more than possible with a bit of luck and many Scatters on the reel. Five Scatters will give you x100 your wager, and with the Free Spins bonus active, the massive win the slot promises is more than possible.
However, Microgaming’s summer release is not a progressive slot, so your biggest win is fixed.
Bonus Game and Sign-Ups
Three or more Scatters trigger the Free Spins bonus. You get fifteen bonus rounds, the background turns into a red colour instead of a purple one, and the stacked symbols bonus becomes even better. Instead of just expanding the cat symbols, while the bonus is active, a fully stacked first reel will expand any Wilds on the reels, as well.
