Magic of Sahara is a history-themed slot, set in the Saharan desert. It uses a 5×3 board with 9 fixed paylines. To win, you must collect three or more identical symbols in adjacent positions, starting with the leftmost reel. This game is a bit sparse when it comes to special features. It has a free spins round which can be activated in two ways. The first is more traditional, and requires finding three or more Scatters. How to Play Magic of Sahara
It has lots of potential when it comes to visuals, but it fails to capitalise on them. The background image is quite distinct, showing the difference between civilisation and the massive desert surrounding it. Still, it’s very obvious that the whole thing is painted on. It feels separate from the reels unlike most modern releases.
But while the background is passable, the symbol designs are a dropped ball. They start off nice, with a caravan of camels and several local residents that look quite exotic. But then you get the playing card royals, and our immersion just shatters. The day is somewhat saved by the special icons: a bowl full of gold and jewels as Scatter, and the slot logo as Wild.
Magic of Sahara has a medium variance, with a good balance between frequent wins and solid jackpots. While it’s not the most entertaining game we’ve ever played, it does have good winning potential. It’s a good release for new players, since it’s simple but still offers good prizes.
