A passionate, but tragic love affair between Sir Lancelot du Lac, one of the most prominent Knights of the Round Table, and Queen Guinevere inspired Williams Interactive (WMS) to create a 5-reel, 4-row video slot named after its main character.
Lancelot video slot comes with nice graphics and an iconography recognisable from the legends of King Arthur and his knights. With the mountain lake in the backdrop and nice-looking symbols deriving from the famous mythology, Lancelot will grab your attention instantly. However, the sound does not match the visuals, so we decided to switch it off after only few spins.
When it comes to the gameplay, despite the large reels (5×4) and up to 40 paylines, Lancelot is a quite simple slot machine with only one game feature. The main characters, namely Lancelot and Guinevere dominate the game and all the action practically revolves around them. These two symbols are Wilds and Bonus symbols at the same time, awarding up to 50 free spins if you are lucky enough to align them properly.
How to Play Lancelot
WMS made sure to facilitate your gameplay by attaching the betting options directly on the main screen. There are two blue coloured tabs above the reels you should use to determine your wager, while the total bet value stands in-between them. By tapping on the left tab, you will open a pop-up screen allowing you to select your bet per line in range of 0.01 to 5.00. The right tab is a place where you can choose the number of paylines you want to activate. The total bet is a product of these two values and it can go from $0.01 (minimum bet per line x 1 payline) up to $200 (5.00 x 40 paylines).
If you wish to use the Auto Play option you will have to make one additional move and tap on the settings button at the upper right corner. You can activate 5, 10, 25, 50 or 100 auto rounds with the same bet settings. All lines pay left to right starting with the leftmost reel with a minimum of 3 identical symbols to create a winning combo.
There are 10 different regular symbols drawn nicely and representing wizard, knight, sword, castle, crown, rings, helmet, shield, yellow roses and acorn. Lancelot Wild and Guinevere Wild are Wild symbols that can cover 3 rows and substitute for all other symbols, but they can create their own winning combinations as well. Additionally, the love between the two main characters is apparently so strong that these two symbols can create win if they appear next to each other. On top of all that, when you match at least two of these symbols on consecutive reels starting with the reel 1, you will be awarded the free spins.
Jackpots & Progressives
You can get some really nice payouts if you manage to make 5-of-a-kind wins with Lancelot or Guinevere. The biggest win you per line of 500 times line bet comes with 5 Lancelot symbols or 5 Guinevere symbols. However, if these two symbols appear mixed next to each other you will get half of it – 250 times bet per line. The progressive jackpot is not included and the overall payout of this game is 96%.

The Lancelot feature is activated when 2 or more consecutive scattered Lancelot Wild and/or Guinevere Wild appear on consecutive reels, starting with the leftmost. Basically the feature includes the free spins whose number is pre-determined by the number of the triggering symbols. 2 triggering symbols award 5 free spins, 3 of them award 10 free spins, 4 of them award 20 free spins, while the most you can get is 50 free spins for 5 triggering symbols. An additional amenity is that all the prizes are doubled during the feature.
