Gladiator of Rome Mobile Slot Review

You may say Gladiator of Rome is a regular game with decent appearance and interesting game features. On the other hand, you wouldn’t be wrong if you say it is a game so typical that there can be found hundreds of online games with pretty much the same attributes.

Whether or not this video slot deserves your attention, though, is a matter of personal taste. It is a 20 payline video slot with standard 5×3 reels, released by 1X2Gaming. The graphics is not reaching the highest standards, but it’s good enough to keep your attention.

The backdrop gives you a nice view to one of the desert stations of the Roman Empire, while the skilfully drawn symbols represent the Roman era and come with some attractive 3D effects anytime they become a part of a winning combination. If you were wondering how much cash you could make, Gladiator of Rome is not the most generous game, but it does offer a couple of enticing ways to relive your balance.

How to Play Gladiator of Rome

It is possible to use both horizontal and vertical mode and each of them looks equally attractive. The bet setting options is activated when you press the Lines/Coin Value button located at the bottom left corner. Scroll up and down to choose one of the coin values (0.01, 0.02, 0.05, 0.10 or 0.25), then the number of coins you want to place on each active line (1 to 5) and finally, choose how many lines you want to activate (1 to 20). After you have determined your bet, there is nothing much you can do except tapping on the Spin button and waiting for the reels to stop.

Winning combinations are created when identical symbols land on one of the paylines you have previously activated. These symbols need to be in adjacent order from left to right, beginning with the leftmost (reel #1). The Wild symbol (the Gladiator that looks wild indeed) can help fill the gap and substitute for any regular symbol to help you comprise the winning combination.

At least three matching symbols are required to receive a prize. The Bonus symbol can show up on reels #2, #3 and #4 only, but it won’t bring anything to you, unless three of them show up at the same time. If you are lucky enough to see all 3 Bonus symbols simultaneously, you will be awarded 30 free spins automatically.

Jackpots & Progressives

For the fans of statistics: the theoretical return to player for this game stands pretty low – 94.20%. The maximum prize per spin is limited to $10,000 and any prize above that amount will be reduced to $10,000. The maximum win per line goes to $3,750 (5 Caesar symbols with 5 coins per line, with a coin value of 0.25 and the x3 multiplier from the free spins). It is clear from the previous that the free spins are the most generous part of the game.

Bonus Games and Sign-Ups

Three Bonus symbols that show up at the same time during the regular play will bring you 30 free spins automatically. However, the Bonuses cannot be seen during the free spins, so there is no possibility of re-triggering the free spins. Also, “J” symbol will also be removed, so your winning odds will slightly rise. Yet, the most important feature of the free spins is the multipliers. For the first 10 free spins, there is no multiplier (that is the multiplier is x1), for another set of free spins (from 11 to 20) all wins are doubled and for the remaining third of free spins (21-30) all wins are tripled.
