Arcader Mobile Slot Review
In terms of graphics and sound, Arcader by Thunderkick is a tribute to the roots of video gaming. With reels positioned at the top of a mountain on a Moon-like celestial body, Arcader looks captivating when played in the vertical mode. Those reels, however, belong to the golden age of the arcade games, somewhere at the end of the 70’s and the dawn of the 80’s, but fit perfectly to the new age smartphones and tablets.
Thunderkick has shown us the way to successfully merge the old with the new and we give them thumbs up for the visual quality of the Arcader video slot. The game is very fun to watch, but that is not its only quality, since whole bunch of very awarding features hides inside the reels. If you are willing to dig inside you will find Wild symbols, Expanders, free spins, multipliers, Sticky Wilds and extra cash prizes.
How to Play Arcader
Arcader is played at 5 reels with 3 rows of symbols and 15 fixed paylines. Tap on the coin icon at the main screen and choose your bet per spin ranging from 0.20 up to 100.00. The Auto Play button takes you to the Auto Play page where you can select up to 5000 auto rounds with an option to stop the auto session when feature is won.
The most popular symbols from the old arcade games are used as regular symbols in this game (fruits, 7s, bars). Arcader also features the Wild symbol that substitute regular symbols, the Expander symbol, the Bonus symbol and the Mystery symbol. Expander expands the reel it shows up on filling it with the symbol that can make the best possible payout at that moment. The Bonus symbol and the Mystery symbol act as scatters and may activate the bonus round (free spins) and the Mystery game respectively.
Jackpots & Progressives
Arcader is not a progressive game, but with so many different ways to make wins, a progressive would probably make Arcader overcrowded. A theoretical payout of 96.1% is not the highest out there, but our experience with this slot game is more than satisfactory.
Bonus Games and Sign-Ups
Get three or more Bonus symbols at the same time and you will enter the bonus round of 9 free spins. While 3 Bonuses free spins only, 4 of them will add a 3x multiplier, while 5 Bonuses grant you a 9x multiplier for all 9 free spins. Apart from that, you will start the bonus round with one Sticky Wild somewhere on the reels (usually on the middle reel). Meteors from above will hit the reels after each free spin awarding additional Sticky Wilds. Now, sometimes meteors will hit on the place of another Sticky Wild, but you will most likely finish the bonus round with at least 5 Sticky Wilds on the reels.
Three Mystery symbols during the main game will trigger the Mystery game and turn the reels into 15 question mark symbols. You will need to pick those symbols in order to reveal prizes that can go up to 108x the total bet. The game ends either when you collect all the prizes or when you hit the blank field.
